Funky Tongue Illustration

For this limited edition beer packaging, I developed playful, surreal illustrations entirely in Procreate. I began with quick exploratory sketches to establish the tongue-in-cheek concept, focusing on exaggerated facial features and bold graphic elements like the extended tongue to evoke a tropical, juicy vibe. Using Procreate’s textured brushes, I layered flat colours with subtle grain to create a handmade feel while keeping the visuals clean for print production.

Additionally, I created small looping animations within Procreate, experimenting with frame-by-frame techniques to bring the illustrations to life on social media. These micro-animations—such as the tongue extending or fruit slices moving—added an engaging, dynamic dimension to the branding campaign, making the packaging not just an object but part of a playful visual narrative.
