talent naïve - extinguished design experience

At talent naïve, design was approached not as decoration, but as a positioning tool — one that could express attitude, tension, and cultural distinctiveness from the first impression. The visual language was intentionally raw, minimal, and confrontational, built to challenge polished conventions and create a stronger emotional and visual response. Stark contrast, deliberate negative space, and stripped-back imagery were used to create a sense of defiance, clarity, and immediacy rather than comfort.

A key part of the identity was the use of bold handwritten typography, which introduced a more instinctive and human layer into the brand system. In contrast to the reduced and often austere visual framework, the hand-lettering brought energy, friction, and individuality — making the identity feel more direct, expressive, and culturally charged. Rather than functioning as a decorative gesture, it became an essential part of the brand voice and a tool for giving the project its own recognisable rhythm.

This project remains one of my personal favourites, as it allowed me to work extensively with hand-lettering — a form of visual expression I deeply enjoy and feel especially connected to. It gave me the opportunity to combine strategic brand thinking with a more intuitive and tactile design approach, which made the process feel both creatively natural and conceptually strong.

Overall, the identity for talent naïve was designed to communicate confidence through reduction, attitude through contrast, and distinctiveness through imperfection — resulting in a brand language that feels honest, sharp, and unapologetically self-defined.

Key Responsibilities: Create a campaign logo that embodies rebellion and authenticity, rejecting sterile perfection in favour of raw immediacy. It should feel handwritten, urgent, and alive — like a manifesto scrawled across fabric.

Develop marketing materials that translate this visual language across platforms: social media graphics that capture attention without asking for it, posters that read more like street-art statements than advertisements, and lookbook layouts that feel like intimate confessions rather than curated spreads.

Ensure that every element remains true to talent naïve: minimal, defiant, and brutally honest. Each touchpoint should provoke, disrupt, and invite people to unlearn what fashion has taught them to be.
